SRB M: Despite recording 21 kill blocks as a team, Mladi Radnik get ejected from playoffs by Crvena zvezda

Today, two teams found their way to the playoff semifinals of the Serbian men’s volleyball championship Superliga 2017/2018.

In Game 2 of the playoff quarterfinals, the second-seed Novi Pazar repeated an impressive display from Game 1 to make a sweep in series against No.7 SPD MOK Radnički d.o.o. Kragujevac, 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-22). The Montenegrin Marko Vukašinović topped Novi Pazar with 14 points. Ivan Glavinić scored 15 points for Radnički.

The fourth-seed Crvena zvezda Belgrade made a sweep in the series as well but by prevailing in tie-breakers in both games against No.5 Mladi radnik Požarevac. Aleksandar Gmitrović tallied 22 points for the winning side, while Nemanja Mašulović recorded 7 kill blocks. Boris Buša scored 30 points for Mladi radnik, who was unable to make it to Game 3 despite making 21 blocks as a team. Ognjen Duduj made the most of them – 5.

No.6 Jedinstvo Stara Pazova tied the series against No.3 Spartak Subotica at 1-1.

Vojvodina NS Seme Novi Sad was the first side to progress to the semis.
