Praia Clube
In their premiere at the tournament held in Uberlândia, Brazilian side beat Club Olympic from Bolivia 3-0 in Pool A, partially 25-2, 25-6 and 25-6 in only 44 minutes! Maria Oliveira ’Malu’ stood out in the win of her team with 12 points. In the last round, Praia Clube will face Argentinean champions Club Atlético de Villa Dora in the encounter for the top spot in the pool since both teams already advanced to the simfinals.
Peruvian title holders San Martín de Porres successfully debuted at this year’s edition of the tournament with a clear win over Argentinean side Boca Juniors in Pool B and eliminated rivals from participating in the knockout stage. Ángela Leyva, superstar of the Peruvian volleyball, highlighted winners with 18 points. They will face Rexona-Sesc, Barzilian gold medalists, in the clash for the pole position in the pool.
