Hürriyet reported that Fenerbahçe and Eczacıbaşı have asked the CEV to postpone their games of the Champions League quarterfinals against Novara and Scandicci, scheduled for next week due to the coronavirus outbreak that affected Italy.

Unofficially, the governing body of European volleyball stated that it’s monitoring the situation closely and has announced that it’s in regular contact with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Italian Ministry of Health. The CEV, allegedly, made a commitment to make a decision on the matter as soon as possible. Hürriyet stressed that two options are on the table: postponing the games or moving them to another country.

Schedule determined that Fenerbahçe should play the match against Novara at home on March 5 and the rematch in Italy on March 11. As for Eczacıbaşı, they should play the first leg in Italy on March 4 and the second leg in Istanbul on March 11.
