The reigning Turkish women’s volleyball champions VakıfBank will enter the next season, practically, with the same roster like this season.

According to Volley News, VakıfBank aim to keep the backbone of the squad that dominated the Turkish Championship this season until the suspension due to coronavirus. The Italian expert Giovanni Guidetti will most likely be able to count, for now, on five players from the 2019/20.

These players renewed contracts with the Istanbul team: the Brazilian outside hitter Gabriela Guimarães “Gabi”, middle blockers Zehra Güneş and Kübra Çalışkan, and the setter Cansu Özbay.

The Swedish opposite hitter Isabelle Haak had signed a two-year deal last summer, so she will also keep wearing the yellow and black jersey.

Cansu Özbay starter? Was not Maja Ognjenovic first setter?

Please consider that Kübra Akman’s name is not Kübra Çalışkan any longer since she has been divorced with her ex-husband for nearly 2 years.

Maja and Rasic are starters. Cansu and Kubra backups.
