Fenerbahçe Opet continued their run in the 2020/21 Turkish Women’s Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi regular season. The ’Yellow Angels’ did it at the expense of their biggest sporting rivals in the country, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta. Fenerbahçe prevailed in straight sets in a match valid for Round 25. Partially, it was 25-22, 25-22, and 25-21.

Fener’s Cuban Melissa Vargas was by far the most prominent player of the match as she tallied 26 points. Eda Erdem Dündar made 4 blocks.

However, Fenerbahçe are still 4 points behind the leaders VakıfBank (72 vs 68). The team coached by Giovanni Guidetti recorded the 9th win in a row. They swept Beşiktaş mostly thanks to 12 points from the Swede Isabelle Haak, which she collected through 73 % attack (11/15).
