Surprisingly, the 10th placed Sorgun Bld. was the team that put an end to Ziraat Bankkart’s gigantic winning streak in the 2020/21 Turkish men’s AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season. After 17 successes in a row, the vice-leaders lost in Round 26 and made one step back in their attempt to overtake the top spot from Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta.
Cuban Rolando Cepeda highlighted Sorgun with 30 points, while Ahmet Samet Baltacı set up 4 blocks.
