TUR W: VakıfBank’s championship celebration getting ready – 2-0 in final against Fenerbahçe

VakıfBank swept Fenerbahçe Opet in Game 2 of the 2020/21 Turkish Women’s Volleyball Championship.

The playoff finals of the 2020/21 Turkish Women’s Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi continued with the 2nd match played today in which the regular-season winners VakıfBank stormed past 2nd-seed Fenerbahçe Opet: 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-21). The ‘Yellow-and-Black’ thus took the lead in the series of 2-0 and came to a win from clinching the championship title.

Swede  Isabelle Haak scored 23 points for VakıfBank. Meliha İsmailoğlu made 70 % reception (10 digs, 50 % perfect). The 3rd game of the finals will be played on April 16.

next season,you wön’t be able to watch Boskovic in CL, because eczacibasi lost the series for 3rd place in domestic league by 2-0 against THY (1-3 and 2-3). they’ll compete in CEV-cup as the 4th team of the league.

btw, I wonder why italy is represented by 4 club teams in CL and turkey only by 3. any idea?

By the way Maybe Eczacibasi can play in CL with wild card.
4th Italian club participated CL because some clubs withdrawed from tournament. It was specific to pandemic year.
So Eczaci may join CL with similar way.
