The Serbia Women’s Volleyball National Team captain Maja Ognjenović has returned to Eczacıbaşı VitrA after 3 years.

It’s official now: Ognjenović is back to Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı after 3 years and will play her third term with the Istanbul club (2009/10, 2016-2018, and present).

The 36-year-old setter, one of the best in the world in her position, came to the ranks of ‘The Tigers’ from their big Turkish rivals VakıfBank. However, the arrival of a 4-time Best Setter of the CEV European Championship and a 2-time Best Setter of the CEV European League to Eczacıbaşı should not come as a surprise given that such an option appeared in the media 3 months ago.

In the Istanbul club, Ognjenović will make the setter/opposite connection with her compatriot Tijana Bošković, which is the connection that has been successfully working in Serbia National Team for years.
