The Serbia Women’s National Team middle blocker Mina Popović will play for Galatasaray HDI Sigorta next season.
Galatasaray snatched the starter from their fiercest rivals Fenerbahçe Opet. The ’Lionesses’ have signed a one-year deal with the Serbian middle blocker Popović.
She has been a regular member of the Serbia National Team since 2015, winning two gold medals at the CEV European Championship (2017 and 2019). Her youth career is interwoven with numerous individual awards, such as Best Blocker of the 2011 CEV U18 European Championship, 2011 FIVB U18 World Championship, and 2012 CEV Junior European Championship. Galatasaray will be the ninth club in Popović’s career, which is a huge number given her age (27).
