The 2025-26 Vodafone Sultanlar League began today with the opening match between Zeren Spor and defending champions VakıfBank at the TVF Ziraat Bankkart Volleyball Hall in Ankara.

On the court, VakıfBank started the season strong, defeating Zeren Spor 3-1 in Ankara with set scores of 23-25, 28-26, 19-25, and 13-25. The visitors began confidently, taking the first set 25-23, but Zeren Spor fought back to claim the second 28-26. VakıfBank then regained control, winning the next two sets 25-19 and 25-13 to secure the victory.
Marina Markova led VakıfBank with a standout performance, scoring 30 points, while Helena Cazaute added 18, Tijana Boskovic 16, and Zehra Güneş 10. For Zeren Spor, Aleksandra Uzelac scored 18 points, followed by Anna Lazareva with 17 and Saliha Şahin with 9.
