Round 22 of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi delivered high tension, and derby wins as Zeren Spor and Galatasaray Daikin stole the spotlight in gripping five-set battles.

The match of the week came from Zeren Spor’s gripping 3-2 win over Eczacıbaşı Dynavit. After building a two-set lead, the hosts were pushed to the brink as Eczacıbaşı fought back, saving multiple match points in a dramatic fourth set. But Zeren held firm in the decider, sealing the victory 15-13 after nearly two and a half hours of intense play. Aleksandra Uzelac led the match in scoring with 37 points while hitting 53% in attack, and Anna Lazareva contributed 21. For Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, Ebrar Karakurt was the top scorer with 23 points, with Magdalena Stysiak adding 22.

Galatasaray Daikin also needed five sets to overcome Türk Hava Yolları on the road. Alexia Carutasu led the way with 25 points, while Myriam Sylla (15 pts) and captain İlkin Aydın (14 pts) made important contributions.

League leaders VakıfBank continued their dominance with a 3-0 road win over Bahçelievler. The victory marked their 21st win in 22 matches and extended their impressive away streak.

In other matches, Aras Kargo cruised past Aydın BBSK, Göztepe claimed a solid away win against Beşiktaş, and Nilüfer Bld. Eker edged Kuzeyboru in another five-set battle.
