Galatasaray – VakıfBank
’Vakif’ were in verge of defeat after trailing 2-0 in sets against home team of Galatasaray Daikin, but one lady has changed the course of the match – the Dutch Lonneke Slöetjes 3-2 (24-26, 18-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-7).
Giovanni Guidetti, Italian coach on the bench of VakıfBank, decided to mix things up a little bit in his team’s line-up in addition to the fact that the Dutch Robin de Kruijf and Brazilian Sheilla Castro were not even in protocol (due to limitation of the number of foreigners – 3 in line-up).
’Galata’ took advantage of that to take 2-0 lead in sets, but as from the third set when Slöetjes entered the court, the game wento to VakıfBank. She was the best scorer of her team with 20 points. Italian Nadia Centoni collected 24 in Galatasaray.
