Today’s schedule in the CEV Champions League began with a thrilling derby match in Ankara where HalkBank prevailed over Belogorie after 5 sets! Dick Kooy with 20 points and Ivan Milković with 19 shined in the home team, but HalkBank still remained at the last place in Group E as this was their very first win in the 2016/17 edition of the Champions League.
On the other side, Belogorie Belgorod suffered their 3rd consecutive defeat in the CEV Champions League, while all 3 came after a tie-break! It is interesting to mention that Belogorie played 4 tie-breakers out of 5 games in the group stage!
