USA Claims Gold at 2024 NORCECA Men’s Final Six

In a thrilling finale at the Slush Puppie Centre in Gatineau, Quebec, the USA triumphed over Canada in four sets to secure the gold medal at the 2024 NORCECA Men’s Final Six. The final score was 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 20-25, 22-25).

USA’s Cooper Robinson was the standout performer, notching 16 points with a combination of 9 attacks, 4 blocks, and 3 aces. Teammates Zachary Rama and William Rottman each contributed 13 points.

Canadian Reeve Gingera led his team with 12 points, including 2 aces. With this result, Canada earned the silver medal with a 4-2 record, while the USA finished with a 5-1 record, avenging their earlier loss to Canada in the round robin stage.

In the bronze medal match, Mexico edged out Puerto Rico in a five-set battle (21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11). Mexico’s Mauro Isaac Fuentes Rascon and Yasutaka Sanay Heredia each scored 17 points, while Jamal Ellis Carballo of Puerto Rico led all scorers with 24 points.
