WL 2016, LIVE from Krakow: Brazil narrowly drop leadership position, USA’s win in vain

Brazil were toying with the nerves of their fans as they trailed 2-0 in sets against US National Team in the last round of Pool J at the 2016 FIVB World League Final Six in Kraków, Poland. But, Brazil recovered and made incredible turnaround 3-2 (24-26, 21-25, 28-26, 25-21, 15-12).

Before the match, calculation said Brazil needed to win two sets to secure leadership in the pool, while USA had to achieve 3-0 victory to advance to the semis. So, at the end, Brazil go to the semis from the position number one with 5 points, Italy are second with 3 points, while USA finished as third placed with one point.

Top scorers: BrazilEvandro Guerra 25 pts, USAMatthew Anderson 21 pts.
