Hurrikaani – Mladost

After our away match in Croatia we had to stand some problems” says local head coach Ismo Tuominen. “Our middle blocker Matti Oivanen was sick and could not join our training sessions while Henri Rajala could not play at all because he got fever. Antti Poikela was also a little sick before the return match but we played a strong match and especially our serve was excellent”.

Marshaled by setter Petteri Penttinen, Latvian Aivars Petrusevics topped the charts of the best scorers with 20 points.

Hurrikaani-LOIMAA has got two members of Finland’s national team included in its roster, and namely middle blocker Matti Oivanen and libero Jesse Mäntylä. Petrusevics plays for Latvia’s national team while Eerik Jago is one of the major forces in Estonia’s squad.

After finishing second in the national league last season, Hurrikaani is the current runner-up in the standings of that domestic competition.
