Rourke has scored more than 20 points in every match and this past Tuesday totaled 26 which make her the second best scorer in the prelims of Europe’s most elitist competition with a total of 129 points.
“We have a very busy schedule and therefore sometimes I need some time to find my rhythm” she says. “I started playing my best against VILLA CORTESE right after a few rallies. I feel I can do the same also in the next matches” she says.
The Australian player is very happy to have reached the Playoffs 12 after a difficult campaign in the prelims. “I think we surprised some people who were skeptical about our chances. We were so motivated and determined that we could win the deciding match with VILLA CORTESE. They had some problems but we profited of an opportunity that you do not have so often. Finally we have showed that we deserve to be among the best 12” she adds.
This coming weekend she won’t be eligible to join her side as they play Bank BPS Fakro in the next round of the national league because of some contractual clauses. Rourke will hence enjoy a short break after the sensation SOPOT caused on Tuesday: “I will stay here and have my personal training on those days. I believe that the girls will be able to repeat our performance and take some points home” she says.
