Cuban-born Rosir Calderon (pictured) paced her side tonight with 19 points with Gökcen Denkel adding 15 to the count of the visiting team, while team captain Ana Bjelica scored 15 for Crvena Zvezda.
“We are happy we made it to the semifinals but we want to advance to the final of the CEV Cup” said the head coach of Galatasaray, Serbian Dragan Nesic. “Crvena Zvezda played better than they did last week in Turkey but I am happy with the performance of my team” he added.
Home mentor Ratko Pavlicevic was not too disappointed: “We have ended our European campaign for this season but we are not disappointed even though tonight we lost in three sets. This was a unique experience for our young group”.
