“We just got back from Ankara after playing a match for the national league there and even though the schedule is tight, we have to take up this challenge as this is our job” says head coach Lorenzo Micelli.
“We have started our campaign with a good win in Germany edging there SCHWERINER SC and we would love to continue it by scoring a second victory, this time over RC CANNES. We already played this team last year as we crossed our ways in the Playoffs 12 claiming both matches. RC CANNES remains nevertheless a very strong and experienced team. We want to deliver a good performance to win this match and extend our winning streak” he continues.
“We started well by claiming our first game last week but there is a long road to go in the CEV Volleyball Champions League” adds captain Esra Gümüs. “Every match is tough and RC CANNES is one of the most experienced teams included in the starting field of this competition. We have to take it game by game as the season just got started. We are ready to fight and in my opinion we remain the favorites in our group” she stresses.
