The Italians, on the other hand, started their adventure losing in straight sets to the defending champions of Vakifbank TTelekom ISTANBUL.

This is going to be a very tough match. However, we know we can perform well and we are very determined to win this game although our opponent is really strong” says team captain Oksana Parkhomenko.

Our club did not participate in the CEV Volleyball Champions League for a while, so it is time to maintain a good record in this competition. If we start with two consecutive wins, this will help us qualify for the next phase” she continues.

It is going to a be a very special game for Italian middle blocker Sara Anzanello as she was transferred to Azerbaijan this past summer: “BERGAMO is a strong side but we have a very good roster and this will help us reach our goal for the upcoming match” she says.
