CEV M: Sinan Köksal joins CEV medical team

Sinan Köksal from Turkey, new member of the European Medical Commission (EMC), joins the CEV medical team. During the women’s 2012 Olympic Games - European Qualification campaign in Ankara, the 55-year old doctor enjoyed his first appointment as CEV Medical Delegate.

Sinan Köksal was born in Samsun, Turkey, now living in the capital Ankara.

He studied at the Medical Faculty of Aegean University in Izmir specializing in general surgery.

Dr. Köksalworks at the Turkish Volleyball Federation and serves as medical doctor of the Turkish men’s and women’s national volleyball teams. 

During the 2012 Olympic Games – European Qualification tournament in the Turkish capital, Dr. Köksal assisted EMC member and CEV Medical Delegate Dr. Zoran Nikolovski (see picture), who recently moved to work at the ASPIRE Academy in Doha, Qatar, after spending 15 years at a Barcelona anti-doping laboratory.
