With this result the Italians have mathematically claimed their pass to the 1/8 finals.

Azerrail played a great match tonight but nevertheless we brought it home quite easily” says team captain Francesca Piccinini.

We showed that as long as we are in a good physical condition we can still play some excellent Volleyball” she adds at the end of the game that delighted some 1’000 fans at “Pala Facchetti” in Treviglio.

The result of the game is especially good as BERGAMO took maximum points from this round before traveling next week to Turkey to play there the reigning champions of Vakifbank TTelekom ISTANBUL.

Elitsa Vasileva scored 28 points tonight including 4 blocks and 2 aces and was named MVP of the match. Iuliana Nucu was also excellent scoring with 64% of efficiency in attack.
