The hosts will need to claim a home win and also the eventual golden set to make it to the Challenge Round after they lost last week 1:3 to Omichka in Siberia. However, Baki can rely on the good omen resulting from the fact that they have already claimed two golden sets in the previous rounds of the competition as they played Slovenia’s Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR and Rote Raben VILSBIBURG of Germany.
“In our first game in Russia we did show some good Volleyball” says head coach Alexander Chervyakov. “Our team is still young and rather inexperienced but we are always ready to fight. All players understand the importance of this game and know that a win will bring us into the Challenge Round of the CEV Cup” he concludes.
