The Italian expert Anastasi denied rumors of leaving Warszawa. In an interview for Przegląd Sportowy, he explicitly stressed that he had no intention of departing the club from the Polish capital despite it has financial difficulties.
“It surprised me a lot. I’m not going anywhere, and all day I work hard as hell to build a team for next season and help the club. On Thursday, I had a video conference with the entire staff, we are constantly planning the future. This isn’t the time to leave for many reasons. We are all going through a difficult moment, and I have a strong sense of communication with the club, the team, and my colleagues. When we had problems at the beginning of last season, the fact that I didn’t leave also convinced many players to remain on the team. Now, as always, I try to keep positive thinking,” Anastasi stated.
Warszawa announced that it has extended the deal with Belgian outside hitter Igor Grobelny for one more season.
