You must not be watching a lot of perugia matches. Ivan is not a good attacker esp on zone 4 as of late. Ivan is a great receiver. Not his best performance on that night but he was always a good receiver.
This is still a beautiful play. Ivan is not known for this kind of defending but he did his best after the block caught Sokolov’s spike… Massimo pointed to De Cecco where the ball will land after Zaytsev got a hand to it and made a great backpass to Aaron who destroyed the Civitanova wall. It was definitely a link after link between those players that made this kind of impossible possible and a play worthy of a championship. Great job… Perugia.
