Reports from Türkiye suggest Stefano Lavarini, head coach of Numia Vero Volley Milano, could soon return to the Turkish league.
Rumors suggest Galatasaray Daikin Istanbul could make a coaching change after the 2025/26 season. The team is currently led by Massimo Barbolini and sits fifth in the standings with a 13–6 record. Despite those solid results, local media report that Barbolini may be set to leave the club.
Lavarini is reportedly the frontrunner to take over. The Italian coach is currently leading Vero Volley Milano while also serving as head coach of the Poland women’s national volleyball team. And Galatasaray wouldn’t be unfamiliar territory for him, back in 2023/24, he was on the bench at Fenerbahçe.
No official decision has been announced, but the possibility of Lavarini taking charge in Istanbul is already attracting strong interest across the volleyball community.
