Itambé/Minas took the title in the 2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship.

The top-seed Itambé/Minas overcame so many ups and downs and 2 incredibly poor sets in Game 3 of 2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Superliga Banco do Brasil playoff finals against no.3 Dentil/Praia Clube and won the championship title: 3-2 (25-17, 13-25, 12-25, 25-18, 15-11).

The title crowned, practically, the perfect season for Minas. At one point, they endured 4 months without losing in the regular season (21 wins in a row), which they finished with only one defeat. The Belo Horizonte side ended the competition with just 2 defeats in 28 games. The victory with whom they closed the series in the bubble in Saquarema gave Minas the fourth national title, the second in a row (1993, 2002, 2019, and 2021).

American Megan Easy from Minas was the top scorer of Game 3 with 24 points. Dominican Brayelin Martínez tallied 22 points for Praia. A two-time Olympic champion and the middle blocker of the titleholders, Thaísa Daher, was elected the MVP of Superliga.

2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Superliga Banco do Brasil dream team:

Opposite hitter – Tandara Caixeta (Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde)
