- Sweden – Czech Republic 0-3 (10-25, 14-25, 16-25)
Michaela Mlejnkova from Czech Republic was the top scorer of the game with 14 points.
- Ukraine – Slovakia 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-17)
Svitlana Dorsman with 15 points and Anna Stepaniuk with 13 points scored, from Ukraine, were the top scorers of the game.
Karin Sunderlikova was the best scorer for Slovakia with 12 points.
Pool B
In Pool B, after losing the first set, Hungary turn things to defeat the French team in the next three consecutive sets.
- Hungary – France 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19)
For Hungary, Greta Szakmary was the best scorer with 16 points, while for France Helena Cazaute scored 19 points.
Pool C
At first match between Finland and Spain in ten years, the win goes to Spain.
- Finland – Spain 1-3 (17-25, 20-25, 25-21, 20-25)
The best scorer of Finland was Piia Korhonen with 14 points, while for Spain, Ana Escamilla scored 24 points.
