Two Turkish sides Fenerbahçe Opet Istanbul and Eczacıbaşı VitrA Istanbul will compete for the first 2 spots in Pool A of which the one will secure an automatic berth for the quarterfinals.

By sweeping Budowlani Łódź in Round 4, Fenerbahçe extinguished hopes of the Polish team that they will finally survive the pool stage: 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-22). American Kelsey Robinson led the “Yellow Angels“ to a win with 15 points. Ukrainian Anastasiia Kraiduba scored 17 points for Budowlani.

Given that they defeated LP Salo from Finland by a 3-0, and maintained a perfect record of 4-0, Eczacıbaşı will fight Fenerbahçe in the next 2 rounds for the top spot in the pool that will assure a direct advancement to the knockout stage.
