Volero Le Cannet reached an agreement with Lorenzo Micelli to take over the bench of multiple Swiss champions, who moved to France last year, in the 2019/20 season.
A 49-year-old expert will bring a notable experience gained in prestigious clubs all over Europe, such as Zanetti Bergamo in his home country and Eczacıbaşı VitrA in Turkey or more recently Developres SkyRes Rzeszów in Poland. Micelli is a winner of 2 CEV Champions Leagues (2009 and 2010, both with Zanetti Bergamo), one Turkish Championship, Italian Cup, Polish Cup and Turkish Super Cup each, and 2 Turkish Cups.
In addition to Micelli, Volero Le Cannet recently signed Bulgarian setter Petya Barakova (Developres SkyRes Rzeszów, Poland), Russian opposite hitter Anna Lazareva (Dinamo Moscow, Russia), and Serbian outside hitter Bojana Marković (Mulhouse).
