FRA M: Sète break Cannes’ invincibility and take lead in standings

Sète became leaders on the 2019/20 French Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season after five rounds.


In Round 5, Sète visited the leaders on the 2019/20 Ligue A Masculine regular season chart Cannes and inflicted them first defeat in the season 3-1 (27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19). At the same time, Sète took their place in the standings and now look down at all the other teams in the league with 4-1 and 12 points. Belarussian Vasyl Tupchii top-scored for the winning side with 19 points.

Tourcoing, led by Colombian Ronald Jiménez (25 points) came in second in the charts after beating Nice in five sets: 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 18-25, 17-15).

Cannes – Sète 1-3 (25-27, 21-25, 25-18, 19-25)

Toulouse – Rennes 0-3 (17-25, 21-25, 20-25)

Tourcoing – Nice 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 18-25, 17-15)

Tours – Ajaccio 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-22)

Chaumont - Nantes Rezé 3-0 (25-19, 28-26, 25-20)

Montpellier – Narbonne 3-0 (29-27, 25-22, 26-24)

Paris – Poitiers 2-3 (26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 22-25, 11-15)
