Polish female players were waiting for the first national team match of the new season for as many as 171 days, more precisely since losing to Turkey in the semifinals of the European Olympic Qualifications in January.

Although they played mostly with younger players, Poland beat the Czech Republic at home in Wałbrzych in front of cardboards instead of fans, which was already seen in sports who set off their actions earlier, by a 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-19). The coaches agreed to play an additional set, which ended with the victory of the Czechs by 26-24.

The second meeting between these two sides will be played tomorrow (20:30 CET) at the same venue.
