The players of the current bronze medalists of the Polish women’s volleyball Championship, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, are in isolation after one of their teammates was tested positive for COVID-19.

Polish media reported that the country’s national team member Aleksandra Wójcik was infected with the coronavirus. Her club ŁKS issued an official statement but didn’t want to disclose the name of an infected athlete.

After learning this, the two-time Polish champions tested all players and staff members who had contact with Wójcik. Luckily, there were no positive results. However, as a precaution, all persons related to the club (players, training, and organizational staff) were put into isolation from the moment of receiving information about the positive result of the 26-year-old outside hitter.
