TUR W: VakıfBank report 9 positive COVID-19 cases within club

VakıfBank, one of the most successful and most popular women’s volleyball clubs in the world, is dealing with numerous cases of the coronavirus infection within its ranks.


The three-time winners of the FIVB Club World Championship and four-time winners of the CEV Champions League, VakıfBank, informed of having as many as nine team members infected with the coronavirus.

After conducting COVID-19 tests for the players, coaching staff, and administrative staff yesterday, the Turkish side published there was one positive result. However, that number has increased to nine in 24 hours.

VakıfBank stressed that it took necessary isolation measures.
