Second seed Jiangsu made a comeback in the third match of the best-of-five playoff final series against No.1 Zhejiang after being 2-1 down in sets, partially 25-18, 17-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-10. They also turned series from 0-1 to 2-1, coming only one step away from claiming the trophy.
The biggest loser of the game was Zhejiang receiver and also a second best scorer of the championship with 512 points, Li Jing, who made three consecutive attacking errors in the tie-break at 9-10. Despite all this, she collected game-high 32 points. Yang Zhou and Wang Huimin added 10 each for Zhejiang. As for the winning team, Gong Xiangyu scored 20 points while Zhang Changning contributed with 19 points.
Game 4 is scheduled for March 18 at Zhejiang’s court.
