When China crushed Brazil’s dream to achieve a historical hat-trick at the Olympic Games in Rio quartefinals, two Brazilian players announced retirement from playing for the national team. Soon afterwards, a third one announced the possibility of doing the same!

When Fabiana Claudino and Sheilla Castro, the winners of two Olympic gold medals (Beijing 2008 and London 2012), said goodbye from playing for Brazil National Team, many Brazilian fans thought it was the end of these kind of announcements. But, another player might follow their footsteps – Jaqueline Carvalho.

„I don’t know how to explain the feeling at this time. Only God knows what will happen. I wouldn’t like to say goodbye because many players already said it. I surrender to God because only he knows what will happen,“ ’Jaque’ said after the match versus China.
