After being accused for corruption in 2014 and misuse of public funds in 2015, now there is a new one – for making suspicious transactions.

The Brazilian Council of Control of Financial Activities revealed that “S4G”,  a company owned by Fábio Azevedo, the right arm of a former CBV President Dr. Ary S. Graça F°, had several contracts with the CBV by whom they received atypical funds with immediate purchase of instruments to make payments or transfers to third parties without justification.

The Council of Control of Financial Activities drew attention to the numerous and frequent cash withdrawals in the amount of 100,000 Brazilian reals (30,000 euros) and even withdrawals of 386,157 reals (116,000 euros) also in cash, by the secretary of Azevedo. Allegedly, some amounts were transferred to the companies owned by Azevedo’s wife, niece of Graça, and to directors of the CBV and service providers.

Fábio Azevedo worked closely with Graça in the CBV and continued to do so in the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
