Opposite hitter Luca Vettori was the one to push Modena towards 3-1 win in Round 5, partially 25-16, 21-25, 25-22, 25-22, against straight rivals for the top spot in the pool, Skra Bełchatów. He collected 21 points on his account. Mariusz Wlazły topped Skra scorers with 17 points.
