Volley 2002 Forlì won Coppa Italia A2 (Italian Cup for the teams competing in Division 2) by defeating Volley Soverato 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-18) in finals in Ravenna, where the Final Four of the major Italian Cup was also held.
After the match, coach of Forlì, the Brazilian Ângelo Vercesi, proposed Belarussian player Vera Klimovich! Oh boy, how confused she was, while the crowd was cheering for a brave move that her future husband did.
