GP 2016: Setter Alessia Orro leaves Italy’s NT due to ankle injury

Italy’s National Team will have to continue the second weekend of the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix without one of its setters.

Alessia Orro left the court of the second round (fifth overall in Group 1) match against The Netherlands due to sprained left ankle. She will leave her teammates and go to Rome where she is going to undergo medical scans to assess the extent of the injury and begin rehabilitation therapy.

Marco Bonitta, the head coach of Italy, has called up Carlotta Cambi for the third weekend of the tournament which will be played in Turkey.
