Lube
The defending champions Lube survived a scare against the traveling Kioene Padova in an advanced Round 11 game an Italian Men’s Championship Serie A1 – 3-2 (25-21, 26-28, 25-21, 24-26, 16-14).
Padova took advantage of the absence of the two starters of Lube, the Serbian Dragan Stanković and Osmany Juantorena, which contributed, besides their fighting spirit, to a close encounter. And while Stanković did not play at all, Juantorena entered the floor in the tie-break, scoring 5 points and finishing the game with an ace.
The Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov topped Lube with 26 points while Gabriele Nelli tallied 23 points for Padova.
