Dinamo Moscow prevailed against Zenit Sankt Peterburg in a derby of Round 14 of the Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship Superliga.

Dinamo broke a 5-game winning streak of a younger of the two Zenit’s and, at the same time, extended their victorious streak to 5 games. Led by 24 points from the Dutch Dick Kooy and 16 team kill blocks, the side from the Russian capital did what even Zenit Kazan couldn’t do in the last round, to beat the team coached by Aleksandr Klimkin, 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22). The Serbian Dražen Luburić scored 23 points for Zenit Sankt Peterburg.

The defending champions Zenit Kazan outplayed Yaroslavich Yaroslavl in four sets, with 19 points from Maksim Mikhailov and 9 team aces. Semen Dmitriev topped Yaroslavl with 10 points.
