World’s Best
Volleyball fever is shaking Manila! The world’s best teams have arrived in the capital city of Philippines for the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship 2016, while more than 2,000 fans came to the official team presentation to welcome their heroines.
“I was first in line at the Meet and Greet venue,” Vakifbank supporter Cher Ibanez said. “I didn’t even realize that I had to wait a few more hours, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to see the best players in the world. When they were being introduced, I cried because I could not believe that my favorite players are right in front of me.”
More than 2,000 fans came to say hello
The Meet and Greet was a big treat for the fans to catch a glimpse of their favorite players, who graciously took selfies and signed autographs in the hour-long programme.
FIVB Women’s Club World Championship 2016 will officially start on Tuesday, with the opening match between Turkish powerhouse VakifBank and the Japanese champions Hisamitsu Springs.
