At the FIVB U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Shangluo, China, US and Polish teams claimed gold in their respective categories. Myriah Massey and Lily Davis of the USA secured the women’s title after defeating Spain’s Sofia Izuzquiza and Marta Carro, who earned silver. Fellow Americans Sally Perez and Sarah Wood took home bronze.
In the men’s competition, Poland’s Szymon Pietraszek and Jakub Krzeminski triumphed, defeating Latvia’s Matiss Salkovskis and Karlis Jaundzeikars. Iran’s AmirAli GhalehNovi and Habib AkbarzadehKashani clinched the bronze, marking Iran’s first medal in the event.
