In Brazil, an innovative marketing campaign involving digital cards has captured the attention of volleyball fans. The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV), in partnership with Chiliz Chain and the Gotas Social platform, launched a collection of digital collectible cards featuring top volleyball players, both from indoor and beach volleyball. This initiative has become a sensation among fans, fueled by the excitement of the recent Olympic victories.

On September 6th, the campaign reached a milestone of 100,000 digital cards issued, with an impressive average of nearly 3,000 redemptions per card. The collectible card of Carol, a bronze medalist in the Paris Olympics, emerged as the most sought-after, with over 4,300 redemptions. The cards of players Julia Bergmann and Gabi followed closely, showcasing strong fan engagement.

These digital collectibles offer volleyball enthusiasts a unique way to connect with their favorite athletes by collecting and exchanging virtual cards. The innovation is reshaping how fans interact with the sport, taking volleyball into the digital realm. Each player is represented by two types of cards: a standard version and a special one.

A marketplace for collectors is set to launch in September, allowing fans to combine two cards to create a rarer, more desirable version. Additionally, the first 15 collectors to assemble 34 special cards will be rewarded with exclusive prizes, including autographed jerseys, official volleyballs, and mascots.

This campaign marks a significant step in blending sports with digital technology, creating new ways for fans to engage with their favorite athletes and fostering deeper connections between players and their supporters.
