Cuprum Stilon Gorzów confirmed that their newly signed setter, Eduardo Carisio Sobrinho, has suffered a serious injury that rules him out of the PlusLiga season.
The 27-year-old Brazilian has enjoyed a diverse career, playing for Fiat/Minas, EMS Taubaté Funvic, and Vôlei Itapetininga in his home country before moving abroad. He spent the 2021–22 season with Stade Poitevin in France, returned briefly to Brazil with SESI-SP, then joined Jihostroj České Budějovice and most recently Arkas Spor in Turkey.
Medical examinations confirmed the severity of his injury, preventing a safe return to competition. After discussions with doctors, the coaching staff, and the player himself, the club and Carisio agreed to end the contract by mutual consent.
