You have joined the Serbian team OK Nis. What was your first impression when you arrived there?
„My friend and I have joined the Serbian team in Nis. My first or our first impression was like a new opportunity in life, a door that opened to us, a good moment for us.“
Currently, you are waiting for some paperwork to be done to get permission to play in Nis. How’s that going? What is needed to get that permission?
„We are waiting for some procedures to complete the permission to play here in OK NIS, now let’s say that everything remains the same, to obtain that permission that is necessary to pay the Transfer, we agree with what the FIVB raises, but we need to reduce a little that amount of money they ask for the Transfer of each one since this team is in the second division, and it is clear that I played in cadet, juvenile and older categories, but my friend was not part of any of those categories. We are just trying to ask them to take all of these into account because volleyball is not just a game for us, volleyball is for us our life, our work, which is what we have been doing for years, the only thing we know how to do, we just want to take this opportunity to enter the world of volleyball again. However, it’s all up to them, we also respect any decision they make.“
Have you got used to life in Europe?
„I have adapted perfectly to the life of Europe, it is a calm city and it seems perfect to me.“
How far can Nis go in the upcoming season?
„I think that OK NIS can go very far this season, we are preparing well. My friend and I like the other members of the team have as main objective to go up to the first level.“
What is your overall goal in your career?
„The general goal of my career is the one I have always taken since 12 years ago, that it is to keep me by playing what I like, have the opportunity to meet other clubs, keep developing as a player, and then because when already for a matter of age or from when the body does not allow me to continue playing, continue with volleyball but this time teaching classes, that is, coach.“
Do you think that you will reach one day the top leagues?
„Regardless of the fact that a person should be critical and self-critical, I believe that one day will reach the best leagues. That is always my dream that I carry it with me, I have faith that over time I can be in the ranks of a team of the best leagues.“
