You are playing your second season in Japan. How do you feel there?
“I feel very well in Japan because Japanese people are very friendly and helpful. The organization is fantastic.”
Have you got used to life in Japan?
“I feel like at home here. My first year in Korea taught me a lot of things about “Far East” lifestyle and culture. That’s why I didn’t have any adaptation problems in Japan except right side driving. But I am now a good right side driver.”
What do you think about Japanese fans?
“The Japanese fans are amazing. They are very loyal and respectful. We feel their positive vibes during the games and we are always trying to do our best to make them happy.”
You played so far in Azerbaijan, Korea and Japan – are you planning to join some teams from top European leagues?
“I’m always receiving offers from the top teams in European leagues. Of course, this is a subject between me and my manager. I can’t say anything about it now.”
Club’s Volleyball in Azerbaijan is in crisis. How do you see this situation?
“I can’t call it as crisis in Azerbaijan. There are still good teams like Azerail or Telekom. Just difference from past is that our federation is more focused on youth development program. As you know, 2017 European Women’s Volleyball championship 2017 and Islamic games will be organized in Azerbaijan. These are important things in volleyball.”
In 2015, you scored 58 points to set new world record. Is there a chance to repeat such a performance?
“Well, I am a player who cares more about team’s success. Of course I am happy to set the new world record but I want also to win some titles together with my team Toyota Auto Body. I would never limit myself. I will try to improve myself much more. These 58 points is the best till I make 59 points.”
How would you rate 2016?
“As long as I am healthy and have no injuries, I will consider that year as a good year. 2016 was a good for me and I hope he same for 2017”.
