Zhu Ting
This summer Zhu Ting has signed for Turkey’s VakıfBbank İstanbul and delighted, not only her fans, but also fans from all over Europe with the way she played. Chinese star has accepted to do a New Year’s interview for WoV.
Do you miss China?
“Yes, I miss it because my family is there“
What do you think about Turkey?
“I think Turkey is a beautiful country. People here are nice.”
What do you like to eat in Europe, since food in China is very different?
“Actually, I like to eat fish and beef here”
Did you learn some Turkish words and is how is your English now?
“I have learned some Turkish numbers and greetings. At the same time, I’m learning also volleyball terms from coaches and teammates while training.”

For how long do you plan to stay in Europe?
“I hope to stay here for about 4 years.”
What is the difference between Asian and European volleyball?
“Asian volleyball mostly relies on outside hitters while European volleyball relies on opposites.”
Did you expect to win Olympic Games and to be the MVP of the same?
“We didn’t expect to win Olympic Games but we all had the same belief in getting one of the medals. I think that getting a gold medal is much more meaningful than MVP because without the help of my teammates I would not be able to be the MVP.”
What is the next goal in your career since you already won Olympics and all we know that the Olympics are the top of each career.
“My goal is to be the champion of the CEV Champions League and Turkish Superleague.”
