The AVC Men’s Champions League pool stage concluded with Japan’s Suntory Sunbirds, China’s Shanghai Bright, Qatar’s Al-Rayyan Sports Club, and Iran’s Foolad Sirjan Iranian all delivering straight-set victories to seal their quarterfinal spots.
The Suntory Sunbirds, reigning SV.League champions, stayed perfect in Pool A, cruising past Kazakhstan’s Aqtobe 25-14, 25-16, 25-19. Russian powerhouse Dmitriy Muserskiy led the charge with 16 points, supported by Alain De Armas and Ran Takahashi.
In Pool B, Shanghai Bright bounced back from an early loss with a dominant performance against the Philippines’ Cignal HD Spikers.
